Mike Frantz, Interim Senior Pastor

Pastor Mike began serving Hope Fellowship as Interim Senior Pastor in February 2020. His role as interim encompasses all leadership, preaching/teaching, and administrator roles of our ministry, as well as helping to guide HFC during its time of transition. Pastor Mike works with Hope Fellowship through Interim Pastoral Ministries, an organization specializing in helping churches through staff transitions. Pastor Mike and his wife, Marge, are from the Wichita, KS area.

Josh Luevano, Youth Pastor

Joshua Luevano serves as the Youth Pastor of Hope Fellowship Church. His primary responsibility is to spiritually guide the middle school and high school students, and prepare them for a life dedicated to Christ beyond high school. Pastor Josh has is MDiv from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Josh was born in Romeoville, Illinois but has called Kansas City his home for most of his life. His favorite activities include trips to the lake, coaching youth hockey, hanging out with his siblings, and enjoying time with his wife, Brenna.

Rebekah Canales, Director of Children's Ministries

Bekah's previous experience working with volunteer coordination combined with a love of sharing God's Word with children, serves her well in her leadership position at HFC. She has a Masters degree in Public Administration from Park University. She and her husband, Kenan, have two sons. They enjoy spending their time outdoors, including gardening, exploring, catching critters on Pokemon Go, and playing with their "hobby farm" filled with turtles, goats, chicks, bees, dogs and other creatures.

Cheryl Patneau, Secretary

Cheryl serves as Hope Fellowship's part-time church secretary. Her primary responsibilities include supporting the Senior Pastor, data entry, managing communications, bulletin preparation, and other administrative tasks. When she's not serving the church as secretary or in her other volunteer capacities throughout the church, Cheryl enjoys painting, keeping in touch with her grown children, being with friends, and pampering her sweet pups.

Advisory Board, Leadership and Governance

The Advisory Board is composed of the Pastor(s), Deacons, Trustees, Clerk, Treasurer, Overseers of Women's Ministries and one member at large for each fifty members, or fraction thereof. Members at large are elected by the congregation for a term of one year, and may serve two consecutive terms.
