Having Hope Despite COVID-19

We face uncertain times, but we are the people of Hope! However, we know the coronavirus situation is concerning and creating anxiety. Hope Fellowship's Leadership Team met and has laid a course for HFC for the near future. Please be patient, understanding, and supportive as we walk this unknown path. Our priority is to put God at the center of this experience and ensure that we build and strengthen our relationship with Him and each other.

No matter the circumstances we face, we must always remember that, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Heb. 13:8). God is with us and He will lead us through this experience.

The HFC Facebook page and this web page will provide the most current and updated information. Subscribing to our e-mail list is also a great way to stay up-to-date on the latest.

(Last updated 6-14-20) The Deacon Board has released a reopening plan.

Highlights:
* Starting June 14, we will begin meeting again in person. To adhere to local capacity guidelines, the congregation is invited to participate in an attendance rotation based on small groups.
* Streaming services will continue to be offered.
* There will be no additional activities offered on-site at this time. This includes nursery care and Kidz Worship.
* Please maintain social distancing. An usher will be available to escort you to a seat suitable for your family size.
* All additional visiting after the service is encouraged to be done in the parking lot. Please do not stand at the exits or cluster in the foyer.
* Face masks are welcomed, but not required. (Subject to change per local mandates.)
* Only the sanctuary and bathrooms are available for use. Please do not enter the kitchen area or classrooms.
* Hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the building. Please use them and/or wash your hands frequently.
* Do NOT attend church or community group activities if you don’t feel well and/or have a fever. If you have been ill, refrain from attending any church or community group event until you have been symptom free for at least 48 hours.
* Participants in high-risk categories, as outlined by the CDC, are discouraged from attending activities at the church or community groups.

How You Can Help
We are seeking volunteers to help with cleaning responsibilities, including wiping down all common touch surfaces prior to arrival of participants, and wiping down frequently used surfaces during and after services.

Small Groups are Encouraged to Meet Again
Our Small Group Ministry is critical during this period to maintain the strength of the body. We encourage the small groups to become a foundation of membership care through continuous contact and information sharing during this period. If you feel comfortable, please begin meeting again in person off-site. If your group is unable or uncomfortable meeting in person, you are highly encouraged to stay connected online via regular meetings on an online platform like Zoom, Google Hangouts, etc.

If you are not formally involved in a small group, please reach out to Andy Nocks (Deacon) at 816-805-5541 or anocks@kc.rr.com.

WEEKLY WORSHIP SERVICE - We feel strongly about staying connected through organized worship. We provide a live streaming service on Sunday mornings at 10:15 a.m.

PODCAST - Don't forget that we have an archive of podcasted sermons available should you be unable to connect on Sunday mornings or if you need additional encouragement throughout the week.

GIVING OPTIONS - We are, and always have been a generous church body. We feel it is important to maintain our giving during this period so we can continue to support God’s Church and our external ministry programs. We are offering online giving via Paypal. If you prefer to continue to contribute through a written check, please mail your contribution to the church as follows:
